Black Economic Empowerment

Eyethu is a signatory to the “Maritime Transport & Services Industry BEE Charter which was signed on the 10th of December 2003 in Durban. Eyethu believes that BEE is an economic and social imperative and support the initiatives taken by both the Department of Transport and the Department of Trade and Industry in assisting the industry to address the inequalities of the past.

Employment Equity Policy

Eyethu is committed:

Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) Policy

Eyethu is committed:
- To conduct its activities in such a way as to take foremost account
  of the Health, Safety and Security of its employees and of other
  persons that may be affected, and to give proper regard to the
  conservation of the Environment.
- To manage HSSE matters as any other critical business activity
- To adhere and to apply our Principals HSSE Policies and to ensure
  that Safety and Security of all personnel and vessels well being
  take precedence.
- To provide our Marine Representatives with safety gears whenever
  they go on board the vessel.
- To immediately bring to the attention of our Principals (Owners,
  Charters and Master of the vessels) on anything suspicious that
  could harm the environment, personnel and safety of the vessel

Skills Training & Development Policy

Eyethu, is a member of Transport Education Training Authority (TETA) and applies principles of ASGISA and JIPSA when proving training to all staff members.
